While we are in the early stages of our journey, there are many notable examples of organisations creating multi-faith spaces that have positively impacted their employees. Here are a few inspirational case studies:
Arsenal’s first player prayer room, introduced at the Emirates Stadium and supported by player Mohamed Elneny, is a dedicated space that meets the needs of Muslim players and fans alike. This initiative symbolizes Arsenal’s dedication to inclusivity, offering a comfortable and accessible space for worship, and underscoring the club’s commitment to its diverse community.
On opening the space, Elneny said: “I am so proud to have opened our player prayer room at Emirates Stadium. Having this space to contemplate and pray will change the lives of future Arsenal players. I am really grateful to the staff and everyone involved in making this happen.”
In partnership with Bradford City AFC, Regal Foods established a prayer room for fans seeking a peaceful space.
Their spokesperson shared, “Inclusion and diversity are key values we uphold as a club, and it remains a constant focus of ours to continue making Bradford City AFC as accessible as possible, in every way."
East Midlands Airport’s multi-faith room serves both travellers and staff with a dedicated place for prayer and reflection.
The managing director remarked: "The new multi faith room will provide the same amenity for customers and colleagues in the airside part of the terminal. It is another example of our investment in facilities which improve the experience for people at the airport."
